JOHANNESBURG – The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial is expected to resume at the Pretoria High Court.
The accused’s banking records are expected to come into focus as the state continues to prove ownership of cell phone numbers.
On Thursday, accused 1 Muzi Sibiya’s bank statements were read in court, casting doubt on his whereabouts the day the soccer star was killed.
The statements show Sibiya was in Gauteng and made several transactions in Vosloorus in the weeks leading to and after Meyiwa’s murder.
Sibiya claimed that he was in KwaZulu-Natal at the time and also denied involvement in the murder.
